Since the very beginning, Carl Wachter has had a lifelong affair with the camera and appreciated the beauty of the female form... Carl knew then at that moment he wanted to be a Glamour Photographer, and he has lived his dream every day since.
In 1978 Carl started his longtime association with Bob Guccione's PENTHOUSE Magazine and who soon became the exclusive Penthouse Staff Photographer. Some of the world's most beautiful and famous women have been in front of Carl's camera lens, many which have been chosen as PENTHOUSE "PET OF THE YEAR".

Carl is known for his flawless lighting techniques, which allow him to produce shots that require no touch up. His vivid imagination is responsible for the countless thematic situations and costumes that he has put the models in, much of the wardrobe being designed by Carl himself. The photographer's styling and make-overs are well known for bringing out the very best in his models, many of whom wish only to be photographed exclusively by Carl.
In the field of Glamour Photography, Carl has proven himself by being innovative and controversial.
